The ONA Fund is a 501(c)(3) organization

Founded in 2018

The ONA Fund (Officers Needing Assistance) honors and financially supports New England law enforcement organizations and individual officers and their families in need due to work related causes. ONA channels the generosity of donors to provide needed resources and funds in recognition of the dedication of those that are the blue.
The ONA Fund was founded by by Jim DeAngelis, Christine DeVirgilio, Allison Hynes and John Shalbey.

Golf Tournaments

The ONA fund hosts a yearly golf tournament. We hope to see you at this years!

Bar Nights

Throughout the year we host bar nights where a potion f sales from the night goes directly to the ONA fund. It is  a great chance to try new places, meet new friends, and raise money for the ONA fund

Meet Our Board Of Directors

Allison Hynes President

A founding member of the ONA Fund, Allison Hynes has served as secretary of the Board of Directors since 2018.  Allison is an attorney who has worked in the public sector since graduating from law school.  Recognizing the need to support local law enforcement organizations and individual officers, Allison works along with the board to fundraise, recruit sponsors and volunteers, and raise awareness throughout the community about the ONA Fund and its mission.

Katie Shalbey Director

Katie Shalbey joined the ONA Fund as a director in 2021. Katie is the daughter of a retired police Lieutenant and recognizes the risks police officers incur. After volunteering with ONA for many years, joining ONA was the perfect way for Katie to give back.

John Shalbey Treasurer

John Shalbey has served as Treasurer of ONA since its inception. During his tenure he has helped organize, fundraise, and perform community outreach for the ONA fund. He works with a great board and many volunteers, and they have held successful golf tournaments, brewery nights and other events all to help raise funds to disburse to police officers in need.
